In 2022, the video was the most-watched of the year with nearly 300 million views, according to the list that examined views of official music videos posted to YouTube in 2022.

Burna Boy’s “Last Last” video, which racked up over 140 million views, and Kizz Daniel’s “Buga” video, which racked up 107 million views, took second and third place respectively in 2022.

The single, which was hailed as one of the fastest growing singles, now has 355 million views, replacing Ckay’s Love Nwantiti with the laudable milestone.

Recall that Divine Ikubor aka Rema collaborated with American pop star Selena Gomez for the remix of the single.

The announcement comes days after a viral video was seen of Gomez enthusiastically greeting Rema with a beautiful international kiss backstage at his Rave & Roses World Tour in Los Angeles, US.

“Calm Down” became an instant hit upon its release, quickly amassing 100 million views on YouTube in less than three months. Released as a single before the singer’s debut album, “Raves & Roses,” the song has gone on to become the most successful of the album anyway.
