Nicki Minaj, the renowned rapper and entertainer, is facing a lawsuit filed by West Hollywood jewelry store Roseark, alleging that she failed to pay for borrowed custom jewelry pieces and caused damage to them.

The luxury boutique claims that Minaj borrowed the jewelry through her stylist Brett Alan Nelson, who signed a contract with the store.

According to TMZ, Roseark sent invoices to Nelson for the damages, amounting to $26,239.50 plus interest. Minaj’s attorney, Jordan Siev, countered the claims, stating that his client is not responsible and accused the store of seeking publicity.

The lawsuit states that Nelson did not return 66 of the borrowed pieces on time, and two of them—a set of earrings and a leaf ring—were noticeably damaged upon return.

However, a source close to Minaj denies these allegations, asserting that everything was returned on time and suggests that the store made the complaint about a missing stone only after holding onto the pieces for a significant period.

Despite multiple collection attempts, the store claims they have not received payment. They are now suing both Minaj and her stylist for the sum.

The news of the lawsuit emerges just a day after Minaj revealed the release date of her highly anticipated album, scheduled for October 20, 2023.

This album marks her first studio release in five years, and it may also be the debut under her own record label, Heavy On It.

Apart from her musical endeavors, Minaj has been enjoying motherhood, sharing glimpses of her son on social media.

The rapper married Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty in 2019, but their son’s name has yet to be disclosed publicly, often referred to as Papa Bear in Minaj’s posts.
