Tiwa Savage Petitions Lagos CP: Alleges Threats from Davido

In a recent turn of events, Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has filed a petition against fellow musician Davido, citing alleged threats of assault and grievous bodily harm. The petition, addressed to Fayoade Adegoke, the Lagos commissioner of police, details an incident where Davido reportedly made direct threats to Tiwa Savage.

The petition, obtained by TheCable Lifestyle, states that on December 23, Tiwa Savage posted on her Instagram Story featuring herself and Sophia Momodu. In response, Davido allegedly sent messages to Tiwa Savage’s manager, instructing her not to worry and warning against speaking ill of him. Tiwa Savage claims the messages were disrespectful and derogatory.

Tiwa Savage further alleges that the incident led to calls and messages from mutual connections, questioning her relationship with Sophia Momodu. Davido, according to the petition, warned Tiwa Savage to “be careful in Lagos because he was going to f**k me up.”

Expressing concern over what she perceives as online and offline harassment, Tiwa Savage states in the petition that Davido’s actions are unethical and a direct threat to her rights to life, privacy, and dignity. She emphasizes the potential violation of the Nigerian Constitution and the Cybercrime Act.

Tiwa Savage concludes the petition by making it clear that she holds Davido responsible for any harm that may befall her or her family. The singer is available to provide additional information and requests a prompt response from the Nigerian Police Force.
