The judge deemed jail time unnecessary for Majors, instead mandating him to complete a 52-week in-person batterers intervention program in Los Angeles and undergo continued mental health counseling. Additionally, Majors is required to maintain distance from the victim, Jabbari, as reported by ABC News.

Facing a maximum sentence of 364 days behind bars, Majors, known for his roles in various films and series including Marvel productions, had his appeal to dismiss the assault and harassment conviction rejected by a judge last week, per Deadline.Actor Jonathan Majors Spared Jail Time for Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend; Sentenced to Domestic Violence Program

In December, the 34-year-old actor was found guilty of assaulting Jabbari, following her accusations of an attack that resulted in injuries. The incident occurred in New York last March, leading to Majors’ arrest.

Although Majors maintained his innocence, he was convicted of one count of assault and one count of harassment, while being acquitted of another count of assault and one aggravated harassment count.

According to prosecutors, the altercation ensued after Jabbari spotted a text message on Majors’ phone from another woman expressing romantic intentions. Allegedly, Majors forcibly retrieved his phone, resulting in injuries to Jabbari, including a fractured finger, a cut behind her ear, and bruising.Jonathan Majors

While Majors has evaded imprisonment, the fallout from the guilty verdict has extended beyond the legal realm. The conviction led to his removal from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel universe, signaling broader repercussions for the actor in both personal and professional spheres.
