Barcelona has officially signed Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah on loan from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC. The young talent is set to join Barça Atlètic, Barcelona’s B team, for the 2024-2025 season. The deal includes an option for Barcelona to make the move permanent at the end of the loan period.

Issah’s signing comes on the heels of an exclusive report by GHANASoccernet, which revealed that the player had undergone trials with the Catalan club. His impressive showing during these trials convinced Barcelona to bring him on board. “The player will travel to Barcelona in the coming days to join Albert Sánchez’s squad,” read the club’s official announcement.

Last season, Issah made a name for himself with his exceptional performances in the CAF Confederation Cup. He notched up four goals and two assists in 10 matches, playing a pivotal role in Dreams FC’s historic journey to the semi-finals. His influence was also felt in the Ghana Premier League, where he was involved in 17 goals—scoring seven and assisting in 10 more.

Issah’s talents weren’t confined to club football. He played a crucial part in Ghana’s U20 team, helping them secure gold at the Africa Games earlier this year. His four goals in five games during the FA Cup further highlight his knack for stepping up in important moments.

This move to Barcelona marks a significant step in Issah’s career, offering him the chance to develop in one of the most esteemed football academies in the world. As he prepares to make his mark in European football, all eyes will be on how the Ghanaian winger adapts to the Spanish style of play and whether he can secure a permanent place in Barcelona’s plans for the future.
