Burna Boy makes history after selling out 80k-capacity London stadium

Burna Boy, the Nigerian singer, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first African artist to sell out London Stadium, which has a capacity of 80,000. His highly anticipated concert held on Saturday in the United Kingdom left fans delighted with his electrifying performance.

The London Stadium confirmed the record-breaking achievement through their official Twitter handle before the show, congratulating Burna Boy on his feat. They tweeted, “NOW SOLD OUT @burnaboy’s RECORD-BREAKING concert has now officially SOLD OUT. What an incredible achievement for the first-ever African artist to solo headline a UK stadium. For those lucky enough to make it, enjoy the show.”

In an interview with London Stadium, Burna Boy expressed his determination to make history and prove any doubts about his talent wrong.

He stated, “London Stadium is going to be my fairground! I’ve been told that I couldn’t achieve anything because of where I came from. This is going to be legendary, it’s history, and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of that.”

Burna Boy has consistently made history with his artistry, previously selling out London’s Arena and the 40,000-capacity La Defense Arena in Paris on May 20, 2023.
