Popular Sudanese actress Asia Abdelmajid tragically lost her life in a crossfire incident that occurred in the capital city of Khartoum in Sudan.
The details surrounding her death are still unclear, as clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue to ravage the suburb of Bahri.
Reports indicate that RSF forces have established themselves in residential areas throughout the city, engaging in ground attacks.

In contrast, the Sudanese army, equipped with jet fighters, primarily conducts aerial assaults. On Wednesday, the RSF alleged that the Sudanese army had deployed the police’s special forces unit, but their attack was successfully repelled.

Abdelmajid’s family made the heartbreaking announcement of her passing on Wednesday. However, due to the perilous situation, they were compelled to lay her to rest in a nearby kindergarten where she had been employed.
The 80-year-old actress had gained widespread recognition for her remarkable contributions to theater, captivating audiences with her performances. She rose to prominence in 1965 with her role in the acclaimed play “Pamseeka.”
