Israel Adesanya, the renowned New Zealander-Nigerian mixed martial artist, is reportedly facing a legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, Charlotte Powdrell, who is seeking half of his wealth as part of a settlement.

The revelation came to light when UFC fighter Sean O’Malley discussed the matter on a podcast streamed on the Suga YouTube channel.

According to O’Malley, Powdrell was never married to Adesanya nor did they have any children together. Nonetheless, she believes she is entitled to half of his assets due to their extensive dating history and her alleged support for his UFC career.

Expressing his astonishment, O’Malley stated, “Izzy’s [Israel Adesanya’s] ex-girlfriend…They are not married, right? They were never married, I didn’t believe it. She wants half of his assets. I don’t know how their relationship was because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous.”

Adesanya’s relationship with Charlotte Powdrell gained public attention in 2019 after she was seen with the “Last Stylebender” following his victory over Robert Whittaker.

Powdrell, a New Zealander real estate agent based in Auckland, is now seeking a substantial portion of Adesanya’s wealth.

Israel Adesanya currently holds the UFC Middleweight championship and is recognized as one of the highest-paid mixed martial artists globally. As the legal proceedings unfold, fans and followers await further developments in this high-profile case.
