NBA star Ja Morant posted disturbing images to Instagram showing the All-Star brandishing a gun at a club on Friday night, prompting the Memphis Grizzlies to suspend their star.
Morant is one of basketball’s rising stars, but he’s been making headlines lately for all the wrong reasons.
The all-star reportedly hit a 17-year-old “12 to 13 times” before “discharging” a gun at his Tennessee mansion last summer, with police investigating the incident.
In the Instagram videos, which are widely shared on Twitter, Morant can be seen dancing topless at a strip club before appearing to point a gun to the side of his head.

On Saturday, the Grizzlies released a statement confirming Morant will miss “at least the next two games.”
Memphis faces the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers in their next two games. NBA insider Shams Charania claimed the Grizzlies suspended the star.

In September, Morant was sued for punching a teenager in the face during a game, although he claims it was in self-defense.
The Washington Post revealed that the 17-year-old victim told investigators from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that Morant punched him “12 to 13 times,” while a member of his entourage punched him “four to five times.”
