Actress and TV personality Keke Palmer gave birth to a baby boy with partner Darius Jackson on Monday.
The 29-year-old couple and new parents announced the birth of their child to Palmer’s 12.1million followers on Instagram.
“Hey Son!!!! Only 48 hours of being parents!”, Palmer wrote in the post that included a series of photos including one of her newborn, named Leodis Andrellton Jackson.
She also left a note for her partner: “Darius used to make playlists for me when we first started dating, El Debarge’s ‘Somebody’ was the favourite. We became each other’s someone and made someone, look God!” Palmer concluded this letter by stating that her son “was born during Black History Month and has a fitting name!”

Last December, the actress announced her pregnancy during an episode of Saturday Night Live after multiple rumors circulated online that she was pregnant.
Her announcement was accompanied by congratulations from friends and celebrities.
Rapper Big Sean said: “Congratulations! Welcome to the club.” Actress Meghan Good wrote, “Congratulations Sister, Blessings to you and your family!” Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson wrote, “congratulations!!!! Welcome to the best hood!”
Palmer recently won the New York Film Circle Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Jordan Peele’s latest film, Nope. According to Variety, she will also star in David O. Russell’s new film Super Toys alongside Sacha Baron Cohen.
