The legal battle involving Mathias Pogba, the brother of World Cup winner Paul Pogba, has taken another turn as he appeared in a Paris courtroom on Tuesday evening. After hours of questioning, Mathias left the courthouse, marking a significant development in the high-profile criminal trial that also implicates five other individuals.

The case, which has drawn widespread attention, revolves around allegations that Mathias Pogba, alongside childhood friends and his 34-year-old brother, sought to extort Paul Pogba, who has enjoyed a glittering career at clubs like Juventus and Manchester United.

The accusations stem from a dramatic social media episode in which Mathias publicly threatened to reveal damaging information about his younger brother, Paul, as well as other high-profile figures, including Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Paul Pogba’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta. The claims and the resulting fallout captivated the football world and thrust the Pogba family into the public eye.

Paul Pogba, now 31, remains one of football’s most recognizable figures, having won the World Cup with France and achieved success in some of Europe’s top leagues. However, this family dispute and the associated legal drama have cast a shadow over his career.
