Namibia secured a historic first victory in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), stunning Tunisia in a thrilling Group E encounter. The Brave Warriors emerged victorious with a solitary goal, overturning expectations and adding to a series of unexpected outcomes in the prestigious African tournament.

Deon Hotto’s header in the 88th minute sealed Namibia’s triumph in the opening match, defying the odds and marking a remarkable achievement for the team. The victory followed draws against another formidable opponent, Cameroon, during the qualifiers for the 2024 edition of AFCON.
