The fan, Odum Ifeoluwa, shared the artwork on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that she spent over 70 hours and completed 8,925 stitches to bring the portrait to life. It was her first attempt at tapestry, made to celebrate her one-year anniversary of picking up crocheting.
“I hope @temsbaby gets to see this coz I don’t have much followers on here,” she posted. “I made this to mark the 1yr anniversary of when I started crocheting… I love you Tems.”
The piece quickly gained traction, drawing admiration for its creativity and precision. It eventually caught the attention of Tems herself.
“Yo this is unbelievable. You are incredible! I NEED IT RIGHT NOWWW. Can I buy it please?” Tems responded.
