Victor Osimhen, Nigeria’s star striker, has once again captured the spotlight with bold claims about his market value and his smooth transition to Galatasaray. Speaking to the club’s official channels, Osimhen confidently asserted that his worth exceeds the €100 million price tag often associated with him, highlighting his unique qualities in modern football.

“In my opinion, I’m worth more than €100 million,” Osimhen said. “There are few players with my characteristics and success in today’s game.” While he acknowledged that some might disagree with his valuation, Osimhen emphasized that he respects everyone’s right to their opinion.

The former Napoli player, who joined Galatasaray during the final days of the transfer window, has made an immediate impact both on and off the pitch. Reflecting on his experience in Turkish football so far, Osimhen expressed satisfaction with his decision to move to Istanbul. “Istanbul is a crazy city with incredible fans. I’m very happy,” he stated, clearly enjoying his new surroundings and the vibrant football culture in Turkey.

Osimhen also shared his thoughts on his new teammates, particularly highlighting his close relationship with Dries Mertens, a former Napoli teammate. “I’ve spent a lot of time with Mertens; he’s incredible,” Osimhen noted. “He always motivates me, and both he and his family have become very important to me.”

When discussing fellow striker Mauro Icardi, Osimhen showed deep respect for the Argentine’s stature at Galatasaray. “I’ve known Icardi for a long time, and here he’s a legend,” Osimhen said. “He will help us a lot with his goals and assists.”

Amid rumors swirling about a potential move away in the upcoming transfer window, Galatasaray’s deputy vice-chairman Ibrahim Hatipoglu shut down any speculation of an early departure for the Nigerian international. “Osimhen’s departure in January is out of the question. He will be with us until June, and we are even planning for him to stay in the coming seasons as well,” Hatipoglu told Radyospor.

As Osimhen continues to adjust to life in Turkey, it is clear that both the player and his new club have high hopes for the future. With his strong self-belief, support from his teammates, and confidence from club officials, Osimhen’s journey at Galatasaray is poised to be an exciting chapter in his already illustrious career.
