YSL RICO defense attorney Anastasios Manettas was arrested in court after allegedly bringing pills into the Fulton County courthouse, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Manettas was handcuffed in court after a security check on a purse on Thursday. He was found with a bottle of prescription drugs and is said to have thrown his cell phone at a deputy’s face during the incident.
Manettas faces charges of simply assaulting a police officer, obstructing and disrupting court proceedings, and possessing pills not found in their original packaging.
According to reporter George Chidi, Manettas attempted to throw his phone at another attorney. Attorney Suri Chadha Jimenez, suspected that Manettas deliberately threw his phone at the deputy and said it was an accident.

Manettas represents by Miles “Slato” Farley, one of 28 people named in last year’s indictment of alleged gang activity.
The attorney’s arrest comes just a day after defendant Rodalius Ryan was removed from court on suspicion of marijuana possession. When he was led out, he interrupted the court session by yelling from his cell.
A video circulating the internet this week showed YSL attorney Justin Hill using a “cover sheet” to berate Judge Glanville for implying he lacked a prior argument. “I was saying that it is not true,” Hill said. “It’s cap, to be honest.”
Earlier this month, one of the potential jurors in the case was sentenced to three days in jail for filming it in court on his cell phone.
The defendants were accused of being part of the Young Slime Life gang, which has “terrorized” the city of Atlanta over the years.
The final decision on a case can take more than a year due to the complexity of the process and the number of people involved.
