Ace Liam, a one-year-old Ghanaian prodigy, has officially become the Guinness World Record holder for the Youngest Male Artist. This remarkable achievement, previously held by a three-year-old, was confirmed after attempts made in Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024. The announcement came during a press conference on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, as reported by Citinewsroom.
The confirmation letter from Guinness World Records stated: “We are thrilled to inform you that your application for Youngest Artist (male) has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder! You are eligible to receive one complimentary certificate. Congratulations! You are officially amazing.” This message was sent to Ace’s mother, Chantelle Eghan, who expressed her deep gratitude to the Ghanaian community for their unwavering support during her son’s record-breaking attempt.
Ace Liam’s journey into the world of art began astonishingly early, with his first paintings being created at just six months old. The previous record holder, Dante Lamb, achieved the milestone at the age of three in 2003. Dante’s abstract paintings are now exhibited at the Monkey Love Dessert Bar in Georgia, with his first piece sold on October 6, 2003, for $85.

To secure the Guinness World Record, Ace had to participate in an art exhibition and sell some of his paintings, a requirement set by Guinness World Records. His mother, Chantelle Eghan, took part in the SoundOut Premium Art Exhibition held in Ghana from December 15, 2023, to January 21, 2024, where at least nine of Ace’s paintings were displayed and sold to attendees. Some patrons from the U.S. and UK also acquired Ace’s artwork.
The paintings created by Ace are primarily abstract, a style that resonates with many art enthusiasts. One of his pieces was even received by the First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, highlighting the widespread appreciation for his talent.
Ace Liam’s record-breaking achievement places him among other notable Ghanaians who have set world records, such as 29-year-old Abubakar Tahiru, who holds the title for the most trees hugged in an hour.
Ace Liam’s story is a testament to the boundless potential of young talent and the power of community support in nurturing and celebrating exceptional achievements. As the youngest male artist in Guinness World Records history, Ace Liam not only makes his family proud but also serves as an inspiration to young artists worldwide.
