The confusion began when news surfaced that a man named Charleston White had called Chicago police after allegedly being shot by three men near Northwestern Memorial Hospital. When first responders arrived, however, they could not locate the alleged victim. This sparked widespread concern for the internet personality on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Some users speculated that the shooting was a form of karmic retribution for White’s often inflammatory comments. One post read, “All that sh*t he been saying finally catching up.” Another said, “Speaking on the mentally disabled child the way he did added some debt with the universe.”

The situation was later clarified in a community note on X, where users pointed out that the victim was not the famous Charleston White, but another individual who happened to share the same name. The note further explained that the victim was in his 30s, while White is in his 40s and resides in Texas, not Chicago.
While Charleston White dismissed the rumors in typical humorous fashion, this isn’t the first time he has found himself in the headlines for controversial remarks.
