The 23-year-old, from Tzaneen in Limpopo, was crowned in a flashy ceremony at Pretoria’s Time Square SunBet Arena on Saturday night.
Recall that the fan favorite had previously won the People’s Choice Award.

Nokeri was in the top three with competitors Lebogang Mahlangu and Ayanda Thabethe.

During the closing question-and-answer session, when asked what is most important to holding South Africa together, the BCom Investment Management graduate said history is the best teacher.

“To know where you’re going, you have to know where you’re coming from. As a nation with a history of racial segregation, we know we were at our weakest point when we were divided.

So, as Miss South Africa, I implore that we stand together and embrace all cultures, genders, races and sexualities because we are strong in our diversity.”

“I’m Miss SA 2022. I’ve said those words over a thousand times, but to be able to say that today and actually be my reality is so humbling. Look to God,” said the newly crowned Queen in her acceptance speech. She thanked her parents, family and friends for joining her in pursuing this dream.

“For a girl from Gabaza to be seen, hugged and chosen to represent her country is a groundbreaking moment. A moment that reaffirms that our dreams are valid no matter where we come from,” she said.

Nokeri will represent South Africa in three contests – Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Supranational.
She takes the reins of the newly crowned Miss Supranational – Lalela Mswane.
