A rift has erupted in the Nigerian music scene as singer Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, takes aim at his colleague Davido in a fiery exchange on social media.

The controversy ignited when a netizen, identified as @lifeofolaa, dismissed BNXN’s musical prowess as “mid,” prompting a heated response from the artist. In a now-deleted tweet, BNXN lashed out, declaring, “You be retard. Knowing your fave you no suppose dey speak on anything regarding music. Fem!” [sic], referring to Davido’s hit song “Fem.”

The altercation escalated as netizens condemned BNXN for his comments, with some accusing him of throwing shade at Davido while engaging with his fan base. Despite deleting the tweet, BNXN remained defiant, asserting his ownership of a song he had collaborated on with Davido, which is reportedly set for release.

In a surprising turn of events, Davido removed a previous tweet announcing the collaboration with BNXN, leading to speculation that the disagreement between the two artists had soured their professional relationship. Twitter influencer @Mbahdeyforyou lamented the potential fallout, expressing disappointment that fans may never hear the anticipated collaboration due to the brewing conflict.

However, BNXN swiftly dismissed concerns about the song’s fate, asserting his authority over the project and reaffirming his intention to release it. In a statement addressing the controversy, BNXN emphasized his autonomy as a songwriter and dismissed accusations of being bullied by fans, insisting that he would not be deterred by social media backlash.

BNXNAs tensions simmer between BNXN and Davido, fans anxiously await the outcome of their feud and the fate of their collaborative effort. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the volatile nature of the music industry and the power dynamics at play in the world of Nigerian entertainment.
