LeBron James made NBA history again by becoming the first player to drop 40 points against all 30 teams in the league.
In Tuesday night’s game in Los Angeles, “The King” sensationally equaled Michael Jordan’s three-game record with 45 points – the highest of all time – at the age of 38. James is now just 177 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 points in the NBA.
He could overtake the NBA legend at some point in the next 10 games or less if he keeps up the pace after adding 46 points, eight rebounds and seven assists against the Clippers, despite the Lakers leading the Costa rivalry game West 133-115 have lost.
James also grabbed a career-best nine-point lead by 6:45 against the Clippers and set in his 1.404. Career game from a distance to a career high. But his brilliance wasn’t enough as the Lakers never caught up after being 23 points behind in the first half.

James spent the final minutes of Tuesday night’s game on the bench after stumbling into the stands after a steal from Kawhi Leonard in the third quarter at 5:17 as Lakers coach Darwin Hamm didn’t want to risk an injury for the NBA champion ahead of his five-game road trip, starting Saturday against the Boston Celtics.
Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard & Co. scored their 10th straight win against fellow arena players in downtown Los Angeles as the Clippers rose to fifth in the Western Conference with a 26-24 aggregate record.
Paul George almost earned a double-double, recording 27 points and nine rebounds against Purple and Gold. Injury-free Kawhi Leonard added 25 points for the Clippers’ third win.
The Clippers grabbed a season-high 15 3-pointers in the first half to go for a season-high 77 points. In the second half, Tyronn Lue’s men had 56 points.
The next game is Wednesday at home against the Lakers 14-33 San Antonio Spurs. Center Anthony Davis will return after missing 25 games. The 29-year-old suffered a foot injury on Dec. 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
