Napoli are prepared to break their wage structure to keep Victor Osimhen at the club and offer him a much bigger salary than he earns now.

The new contract will offer the player a much bigger salary and a record breaking wage as he would become the highest paid footballer in the Club’s history.

The Nigerian forward is enjoying a fantastic season at Napoli, scoring 14 goals in 19 games in all competitions this season.

He is closely linked with a move from the Serie A giants next season and many clubs across Europe are believed to be interested in him.

Osimhen

According to reports in Italy as reported by AreaNapoli, Napoli are ready to break the salary structure in order to keep the forward beyond next summer.

They have a salary cap of €3.5m a year for each player but Napoli are willing to make an exception for Osimhen.

The club is said to meet with the forward’s representatives and offer him a contract worth up to €7m per season and Napoli believes they can help convince Osimhen to stay for at least one more season.

Manchester United, who are keen to sign the Nigeria international, may be a huge deal by Serie A standards, but they can offer a lot more and Osimhen will certainly want to try his hand at the Premier League.

However, if he wants to leave, Napoli are likely to accept offers of around €120m for him next summer and with the impressive form he has shown this season there will be no shortage of suitors once the transfer window opens.

No wonder Europe’s biggest clubs are keeping an eye on the striker as he is strong, has speed and pace and a great finish with a career-best 80 goals in 171 games which should only continue to rise.
