Kevin Durant, a 13-time NBA All-Star, has joined an elite group of athletes as he became the third NBA player to sign a lifetime deal with Nike.

The announcement was made by the athletic apparel giant on Friday, solidifying the bond between the two entities.

Durant, who has been associated with Nike for over a decade, is now in the same bracket as LeBron James and Michael Jordan, who previously signed similar lifetime deals with the company.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but it is believed to be one of the most lucrative endorsements in sports history.

“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership,” Durant said in a a statement posted on Boardroom, a media company he co-founded.

“We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.”

Durant, who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets, has been a dominant force in the league since he entered in 2007.

He has won two NBA championships, two Olympic gold medals, and four scoring titles, among other accolades. The 34-year-old forward is widely considered one of the best players of his generation and has a massive fan following around the world.

The news of Durant’s lifetime deal with Nike has sent shockwaves across the sports industry, with many experts hailing it as a game-changer in the world of endorsements.

With this deal, Durant has secured his place among the greatest athletes of all time and cemented his legacy in the sport.
