LeBron James, the NBA superstar, has made headlines by demolishing his $37 million Los Angeles mansion to make way for his dream home. The basketball legend recently obtained the necessary permits to begin construction on his Beverly Hills property.
Exclusive photos reveal the vacant plot of land situated on a hillside overlooking the prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood. Sources close to The U.S. Sun have confirmed that permits have been granted for the commencement of James’ new home project.
While the Lakers star already owns two lavish $20 million mansions in Brentwood, he decided to tear down the Beverly Hills property he acquired just three years ago, reportedly for $2 million less than its original asking price.

The previous mansion, built in the 1930s, featured four bedrooms and sprawled across a 2.5-acre estate with breathtaking views of both Beverly Hills and the Pacific Ocean.
The compound boasted impressive amenities, including eight bathrooms, two detached guesthouses, seven fireplaces, a tennis court, a movie theater, a swimming pool, and a pool house. Access to the Mediterranean-style residence was via a hedged-lined driveway leading to a spacious motor court.
While James has been enjoying a vacation in Europe, where he was spotted attending the Le Mans 24-hour race in France, retirement rumors have been swirling. Following the Lakers’ playoff elimination at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, the four-time NBA champion dropped hints about contemplating his future in basketball.
On Instagram, he wrote, “We’ll see what happens when I no longer exist,” alluding to a potential retirement. When asked to elaborate, James expressed his need to think about whether he wants to continue playing the game.
As construction on his dream home gets underway, fans and pundits eagerly await LeBron James’ decision regarding his basketball future.
