Burna Boy has once again raised the bar for African music on the global stage. The Grammy-winning superstar made history on April 21, 2025, when he sold out The Co-op Live Arena in Manchester—officially the largest indoor arena in England.
The milestone comes hot on the heels of another historic feat just days prior, when he packed out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France in Paris. Together, these back-to-back arena shows firmly cement Burna Boy’s status as a global force in live music.
At the Manchester concert, fans were treated to a high-octane performance filled with crowd favorites and hits that have shaped Burna’s journey from Port Harcourt to world domination. Known for his electrifying stage presence and powerful vocals, he once again delivered a set that kept the audience on their feet from start to finish.
In a highlight moment reminiscent of his Paris show, Burna brought out Nigerian street-hop sensation Shallipopi. The duo performed the remix of Laho, a track that’s rapidly gaining viral traction across continents. French singer Joé Dwèt Filé also joined Burna on stage, performing their collaboration 4KampeII, continuing the cross-cultural connection they initiated in Paris.

Next up, Burna Boy is set to headline the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans on April 24—further underlining his global appeal.
2025 has already been a banner year for the Afrofusion icon. He’s gearing up for the release of his eighth studio album No Sign of Weakness, a title that feels increasingly prophetic. The forthcoming project has been teased with a string of singles, including the Grammy-nominated Higher, Bundle By Bundle, and the more recent Update, all of which have only fueled anticipation.
His last album, I Told Them, achieved commercial success and became a staple in his global performances. Now, with a new era on the horizon, fans are bracing for what’s next from an artist who clearly has no plans of slowing down.
