Born Thomas Wesley Pentz, Diplo is one-third of the globally renowned Jamaican-American electro-dancehall group Major Lazer, alongside Walshy Fire and Ape Drums.

The trio has produced chart-topping hits such as ‘Pon de Floor,’ ‘Lean On,’ and ‘Cold Water.’ Diplo’s connection with Kenyan music enthusiasts dates back to 2014 when he first toured the country, followed by a triumphant return in 2017 for a Major Lazer concert.

Major Lazer’s influence extends to collaborations with African artists, notably their 2018 Afrobeats Mix compilation featuring the likes of Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Ice Prince, Moonchild Sanelly, Nasty C, Harmonize, and Kizz Daniel.
