Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested in Manhattan on Saturday and charged with strangulation, assault and sexual assault after what the NYPD described as a “domestic dispute.”

Authorities said Majors, 33, was arrested without incident. The victim, described as a woman in her 30s, was taken to a hospital after suffering minor head and neck injuries, police said.

In a brief statement, Majors rep Carrie Gordon said he “didn’t do anything wrong.”

“We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” the statement said.

New York City Police Department said officers responded to an 911 call from an apartment near West 22nd Street and Eighth Avenue in Chelsea just after 11 a.m. He was attacked.

The police did not provide any further information about the incident on Saturday evening.

Mister. Majors is a rising star in Hollywood, and he’s put in a string of performances that have made him a potential Oscar contender.

He co-starred in Creed III, which was released this month and starred in Magazine Dreams, where he caused a stir at the Sundance Film Festival. He also appears as a main character in the Disney Marvel franchise.
