A Nigerian man dies after his ex-spouse and mother of his children set him and his current girlfriend ablaze.

On Thursday, March 10, a couple minutes before 3 am; Stanley Obi was at his home in New Beith, in Brisbane’s southern suburbs, when his former partner Sarah Mudge broke into the house; stormed into his bedroom, and doused him and his new lover with petrol, before setting them on fire.

According to the Police of Queensland; Sarah tried to set Mr. Obi and his new lover ablaze while his three young kids were in the house.

However, the only person that was killed was the mother-of-four that started the fire.

Obi’s new lover escaped with burns to her airway along with all three children who are aged five, three, and two.

Mr. Obi’s burning body was pulled from the burning building by his hero neighbor known as Al, who stayed with Obi until an ambulance came 35 minutes later.

The Victim who suffered burns to 90 percent of his body; has since passed away at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

The Nigerian, who is a professional nurse by occupation was aware that his burns were life-threatening and aired his fear that he might not survive. Al said “He said to me, ‘I’m not going to make it, I’m going to die, I’m going to die; you need to help me. Help me,”

The neighbor added that “He was giving me his hand, reaching out to me to hold it, and I wasn’t going to hold his hand because I know about infection control.”

Mr. Obi’s current unnamed partner and his three children have been taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

It is unclear what the reasons for her actions were, but a couple of Weeks before carrying out the attack;  Sarah posted a message on social media that reads: “She’s not toxic bro. You made her like that;  Now you think she is crazy. Your decisions reflect her actions. Check yourself.”
