Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade has been officially inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The award will take place in August. 12 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The announcement was made on Saturday morning, April 1, at the NCAA Final Four. The legendary point guard will be joined by Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, Spurs point guard Tony Parker and Lakers player Pau Gasol.

The 2023 Class is one of the most star-studded introductory events in recent years, with the 2020 additions of Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and posthumously Kobe Bryant.

“This,” Wade said, “is basketball heaven. To be able to end your career and say that you’re going to basketball heaven, that’s what movies are made of, that’s what books are written about.”
The 41-year-old was drafted 5th overall in Marquette’s 2003 NBA draft. He is considered one of the best wing guards of all time.

He’s arguably the greatest Heat player of all time. He is the front runner of the franchise and led it to its first title in 2006.
He won two more rings alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh at SI. After a very successful career, he retired in 2019. He spent 18 months with The Heat. He played briefly with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.
