Burna Boy has once again etched his name in history as he clinched the coveted title of “Best International Act” at the 2023 BET Awards, making it his fourth consecutive win.

The highly anticipated event took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles, USA, where the Nigerian superstar emerged victorious.

Amongst fierce competition, Burna Boy outshined French singer Aya Nakamura, British sensations Ella Mai, Stormzy, and Central Cee, as well as fellow Nigerian artist Ayra Starr to secure the prestigious accolade.

With this latest triumph, Burna Boy has extended his unmatched reign as the most awarded individual in the “Best International Act” category at the BET Awards.

This particular category, introduced in 2018, has seen a remarkable streak of wins by Nigerian artists, with Davido claiming the inaugural title. Burna Boy’s consecutive victories from 2019 to 2021 solidified his status as a true icon in the global music industry.

While Burna Boy basked in his glory, another Nigerian artist, Asake, faced disappointment as he narrowly missed out on the “Best New International” award. The honor instead went to Cameroonian star Libianca, marking her ascent to international recognition.

Burna Boy’s win further cements his position as a force to be reckoned with on the international stage, and his remarkable achievements continue to elevate Nigerian music to new heights.
