The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a significant boost in prize money for the 2024 Women’s Champions League, with the tournament winner now set to take home $600,000. This increase represents a 52% rise in winnings compared to previous editions, underscoring CAF’s commitment to supporting and growing women’s football on the continent.

Set to kick off on November 9 in Morocco, the Women’s Champions League will offer financial support for all participating clubs. CAF confirmed that every team will receive at least $150,000, ensuring broad financial benefits across the tournament.

This expanded prize pool is part of CAF’s wider plan to elevate women’s football in Africa, including investments in youth academies and initiatives to heighten the global appeal of African competitions. Since its establishment in 2021 under CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the Women’s Champions League has rapidly grown, and this year’s enhancements aim to further inspire players and increase participation across the continent.
