Lance Reddick, who has appeared in major TV series like The Wire, Fringe, and Bosch, and films like the John Wick franchise, has died of natural causes.
He was found dead at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles on Friday morning, according to TMZ.
In the upcoming film John Wick: Chapter 4, which hits theaters March 24, Reddick reprises his role as Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York, appearing in all four entries.
Charon worked side-by-side with a non-retired Keanu Reef assassin, specifically taking care of John’s new dog in the second film, and joining the armed movement in the third film.
Riddick was also set to star in the upcoming film Bailarina, starring Ana de Armas.
Known for playing veteran police chiefs, Riddick was born on June 7, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. He studied music composition and earned a music degree from the University of Rochester.
He moved to Boston in the 1980s and earned a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University in 1994. His first major television role was in the fourth season of the HBO prison drama Oz in 2000.
