Lagos buzzed with excitement on Sunday, April 27, 2025, as the 17th edition of the prestigious Headies Awards took center stage at the Landmark Event Centre. The ceremony, known for honoring the biggest names in Nigerian and African music, brought together a dazzling mix of celebrities, politicians, and entertainment heavyweights.
Among the night’s biggest winners were Zerry DL, Tems, Flavour, Rema, and Davido, who each walked away with major accolades. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State was spotted mingling among the stars, while other notable guests lighting up the red carpet included Tanzanian singer Juma Jux alongside his wife Priscilla, actress Nancy Isime, socialite Cubana Chief Priest, reality TV star White Money, and BamBam of Big Brother Naija fame.
Industry veteran Collins Enebeli Ajereh, father of Don Jazzy, and Lagos State’s Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, were also present, adding a touch of prestige to the glamorous evening.
Despite a few categories being skipped this year — such as Best Collaboration, Lyricist on the Roll, and Best R&B Single — the event celebrated musical excellence across the board.
