Dutch Born Ghanaian, Memphis Depay Styles Up In Traditional Ghanaian Clothing

Netherlands international player, Memphis Depay hasn’t forgotten his Ghanaian roots as he was seen wearing traditional kente attire. 

Depay was born in the Netherlands to a Ghanaian father and Dutch mother, but the winger loves spending time in the West African country when on holiday.

In photos shared on social media, Depay displayed his love for Ghana by wearing traditional kente clothing, mainly worn by the Akan kings.

Meanwhile, Depay is preparing for a new adventure in Spain after leaving Barcelona to join city rivals Atletico Madrid in the winter transfer window.

The 28-year-old forward sealed the move from Barcelona to Spanish giants Atlético de Madrid on Friday, January 20, 2023.

According to Fcbarcelona.com, Depay left Barcelona for 3 million euros for two and a half years.

Memphis Depay

Depay joined Barcelona in 2021 and has recorded 14 goals and 2 assists in 42 games for the Catalan national team.

He has scored once in four games in all competitions for Barcelona this season.

Atlético de Madrid are currently third in the LaLiga table with 28 points from 17 games.
