“I am not in a place to criticize the Nigerian movie industry because we’ve seen it evolve over time with the resources given to us,” Ini Edo said. “The progress is undeniable, and I’ve seen improvements at every stage.”
She praised the increasing willingness of global players to collaborate with African filmmakers, noting that this wasn’t always the case. “Before, we didn’t have people who wanted to collaborate with us, but now we do. Everyone will catch up on this train,” she confidently remarked.
Rejecting the notion of harsh criticism, the actress reiterated her belief in the industry’s potential. “I won’t bash anyone because I believe the African movie industry is doing exceptionally well. With time, it will only get better.”
