Nigerian Prophetess Slams Pastors Who Preach Against Oral Sex, Calls Them Hypocritical

A Nigerian prophetess has ignited a fiery debate after accusing pastors who condemn oral sex as immoral of being hypocritical. The outspoken critic argues that many clerics who publicly denounce such intimate acts may themselves engage in or tolerate them behind closed doors — raising questions about consistency, transparency and sexual ethics in Africa’s religious establishments.

Bold Words from the Pulpit

In a statement posted online and widely shared, the unnamed prophetess addressed the growing discourse around sexual morality in Nigerian churches. She asserted that when pastors harshly condemn acts like oral sex while maintaining extravagant lifestyles or engaging in hidden behaviours, their sermons ring hollow.

“Some pastor will leave what they are supposed to preach and instead, preach rubbish” she said.

She added that married couples deserve honest guidance rather than shame-based sermons, pointing out the disconnect between public morality and private behaviour in some religious settings.

The comment comes amid wider conversations in Nigeria on marital intimacy and church teaching. Recently, Pastor Johnson Suleman made headlines when he stated during a church Q&A session that oral sex within marriage between husband and wife is not a sin.  His remarks triggered strong reactions online — some applauding his openness, others condemning him for breaking taboos.

These divergent positions highlight how sexual ethics within Christian communities in Nigeria are under scrutiny, with varying interpretations of scripture and tradition influencing public discourse.
