With just two more races to go, at the Athletissima in Lausanne, Switzerland on August 26 and the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels, Belgium on September 2, Amusan has already accumulated 22 points. Consequently, her spot among the final eight in Zurich appears secure.

After her recent national title win in Benin City, Edo State, where she set a Championship record of 12.54 seconds, Amusan expressed her eagerness for the upcoming World Championships in Oregon, USA. She intends to represent Nigeria and Africa with pride, aiming to make the podium in the 100m Hurdles event.

Taking to her official Facebook page, Amusan shared her excitement, stating, “A solid race today! 12.50s for second place tonight at the Stockholm Diamond League. Grateful for another healthy meet.”

She also expressed anticipation for the World Championships, which will be held in the same stadium where she clinched the NCAA 100mh title in 2017 while representing the University of Texas, El Paso.

With her impressive form and unwavering determination, Amusan is set to make a mark on the world stage and further elevate Nigeria’s reputation in athletics.
