Curtis Jackson, known by his stage name 50 Cent, celebrated the grand opening of his G-Unit Film & TV Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry. During the ceremony, held on the steps of Government Plaza, the Huntington and BTW high school marching bands added to the celebratory atmosphere. Reflecting on the milestone, 50 Cent expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Betting on me is not a gamble. It’s a sure thing because together we will make history.”

The acquisition of the former Millennium Studios on January 1 marked a significant step for 50 Cent, as he now owns one of the largest Black-owned production studios globally. Under the terms of the deal, G-Unit will lease the building for 30 years, with the option to extend for an additional 15 years, demonstrating a long-term commitment to the Shreveport community.
