A few years ago, Covid-19 pandemic ravaged the world economy. It caused many industries to stop operations. However, economic activities have come back to normal all over the world. Although the recovery has been slow, it is about getting back to what it used to be.

The travel and tourism industry is one of the industries the pandemic affected most. Restrictions were placed on local and international travel. Most countries like China are yet to completely relax travel restrictions, notwithstanding that the pandemic was declared to be over a year ago.
The good news is that things are getting better and freer for travellers. Everything about the travel restrictions was laid to rest by China and she was the last country to do this. Now travel restrictions have been relaxed in all countries of the world tourism industries are expected to recover to what they used to be before the pandemic.
These four African countries are at the top of the list.
Rwanda:
The commencement of operations at Sextantio Rwanda, an Italian hotel in Rwanda saw the country on the list of CNN. Sextantio Rwanda is considered the first project Daniele Kihlgren had outside Italy.
This project, which rejuvenated local tradition, is a combination of hotel and living accommodations. The hotel features wildlife adventure, a lake of about 1,000 square miles, a Volcanoes National Park, different kinds of exotic animals, and well-designed fun activities that bring you close to nature.
In 2022 Ellen DeGeneres Campus which occupies a land space of about 4,500 square meters was opened for business. The project was built with funds from Dian Fossey Gorilla. It features exhibit centers, virtual reality gorilla encounter spots, and nature trails. The most exotic wildlife in Africa can be found in Rwanda.
Tanzania:
For so many years running, the country of Tanzania is among the top African countries to visit for tourism because of its many wildlife, hospitality, and many other features. The county is also very secure for tourism. In 2023 it made it to the list of 23 tourist destinations by CNN because of these features.
This is where Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, is located. Tanzania is also home to Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, the Zanzibar Archipelago, and many more. Tanzania making it to this list is not a surprise. In the latter part of this year, Tanzania’s Delta Hotels by Marriott brand is opening its first project in Africa with the coming onstream of the Dar es Salaam Oyster Bay property.
Meanwhile, Tanzania has become a haven for people seeking for a feel of the Caribbean. The country has exotic islands you want to explore when you visit.
Egypt:
Egypt making it to the CNN list is no surprise. The country is home to speculate destinations like the pyramids of Giza, historic Islamic architecture, and a rich mix of historic pasts. It is rich in a cross-continental cultural blend as well, but there are other reasons considered by CNN before bringing it to the list.
One of the reasons is the $1 billion GEM museum project the country is currently undertaking, which is dedicated to a single civilization. On completion, the museum will house all the collections of King Tut.
Whether you want the flair of the Arabians or want to see Egypt’s wonders, the list of places to visit is countless. Don’t forget to come with a camera if your mobile device can’t do justice to your sight and sound.
Uganda:
You cannot name the friendliest countries in Africa without Uganda. Its people are very hospitable. It has serene environments and nice wildlife conservation centers.
CNN described Uganda as a country with many opportunities for adventure seekers because of sites like the exotic shores of Lake Victoria, the snowy Rwenzori Mountains, the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi, the craters of the Virunga volcano chain, the Ugandan 1,600-kilometer unpaved 22-stage Cycling Trail, whitewater rafting along the Victoria Nile, and many more. The country has delicious dishes too.
It would surprise many people that some of countries like South Africa or Nigeria didn’t make the list. We picked these countries from the CNN travel list. Some of the features highlighted in these countries make the unique. We will be updating this article when we see changes.
