Nigerian Boy Beats Students From Germany, Others, In Mathematics Competition

Uwakmfon Unwana Jacob, a Nigerian genius, has won one of the world’s most recognized and respected Mathematics competitions, with photos of him making rounds on social media as Nigerians congratulate him and say prayers for his further growth.
The senior secondary school one (SSS1) student, showed off his medals in photographs displayed on social media on Thursday with a medal from his most recent win, the 2022 Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO).
His school, Graceland Secondary School, Port Harcourt, Rivers States, posted his photos on his Facebook page, which caught the attention of Nigerians, who showered him with praise and congratulatory messages.
The school tagged the post: “The Chronicles of the Global Master of Mathematics”.
In office, Jacob won numerous math competitions, including in the United States, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia and South Africa, where he wore a collection of medals around his neck.
The awards Jacob has won to become a champion of mathematics includes the 2021 and 2022 Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) bronze and gold medals, respectively, 2019 gold medal, 2020 silver medal, silver and 3rd place in Nigeria (2021) Spring and Gold Medal and 2nd Place in Nigeria (Fall 2021) at the American Mathematics Competition (AMC)

He also won the silver medal (International 2020), gold medal (National 2020) and gold medal (National 2021) at the South African Mathematical Olympiad.
He has also received the Silver Honor Award (2020), the Silver Honor Award (2021) and the National Award (Best in Nigeria 2021) by the International Youth Math Challenge, IYMC, (Europe).
Jacob also received the Distinguished Honorable Mention Award (2022) at the Stamford Mathematics Tournament, USA, and the Best Student Award (2022) for the Most Inspired Science and Engineering Foundation (MISE), Ghana-MIT, USA.
